Terroni: No Earthquakes, Please
Thursday, December 6, 2007 20:44 5 Comments
I’ve been pretty excited about Terroni opening, ever since I saw their menu. Authentic Cafe, which used to be in the same location, was a regular dinner/drinks place for me and the void was noticable once it was closed and the new restaurant was under construction.
Now it’s open, and I have wasted no time evaluating [...]
Sinfully good – MarieBelle’s hot chocolate
Wednesday, May 23, 2007 16:19 4 CommentsI wouldn’t call myself a hot chocolate expert, per se, but I would definitely say I am a hot chocolate afficionado…
Mere sematics.
I know what I like when I try it, but I cannot say I’ve sampled all the best the world has to offer.
But I have certainly given it my best shot!
At Angelina, [...]
Celadon — an exquisite experience
Thursday, March 29, 2007 15:21 4 CommentsCeladon is a beautiful restaurant and bar/lounge that offers a unique experience. This is definitely the kind of romantic venue you could take someone special to, though the menu is actually skewed towards shared plates, hence ideal for groups of 4-5 or more.
Adjacent to the main bar are a few lounge rooms, [...]

1544 S. La Cienega Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90035
I guess I’ve been on a sandwich kick recently. On the way to catch a quick flick at the Beverly Center, my friends and I didn’t want to risk someplace that might take too long. Hoagies and Wings was conveniently on the way to the theater [...]

Ye Old King’s Head
Monday, October 30, 2006 21:03 5 CommentsHaving been to England, I have often marveled at how much different their cuisine is from anything I’ve had. Perhaps it due to the lack of spices used, which generates a much more natural flavor. Additionally, the ingredients don’t have much variation. Being someone who loves different styles of food as well [...]
Amazing cocktail at Lucques — The Butterfly Wing
Tuesday, September 12, 2006 11:24 3 CommentsThe first time we went to Lucques (several months ago, after a movie) we ate at the bar. We sat right in the corner, which was squeezy but okay, and afforded us the opportunity to people-watch, rather than having our backs to the room. Right there is a blackboard with their bartender’s cocktail of [...]
Bossa Nova
Sunday, August 13, 2006 6:18 No CommentsOne of the people I know at work is from Brazil.
During one afternoon, we were having some idle chit chat and I asked her if there were places in Los Angeles she likes to go for the Brazilian flavor.
She immediately mentioned Fogo De Chao but just as quickly added it was very expensive! She [...]
