Saturdays were looking a little lean on the special wining and dining events list. But a wine store that I can’t stop la.foodblogging about, has announced new once a month Saturday event that kicks off this weekend.

Auntie Em’s website is down, and the staff is too busy with the lunch crush to answer questions about dinner, so the latest news about the Eagle Rock fave comes from their pals at Colorado Wine Company. Previously, Auntie Em’s was best known for their daunting cupcakes and homestyle breakfasts, but starting next week, Auntie Em’s is opening for dinner.

Yum. Only one day left for the Lotus Festival! It kicks off again today from noon to 8 p.m. in Echo Park. More info.
