JTYH (aka The New Heavy Noodling)
Saturday, September 26, 2009 16:14 2 CommentsTipped off by this post on Sinosoul, I was eager to try the new and confusingly named JTYH. (The seemingly random acronym may be easier to remember if you, like me, just think of it as Just the Young Hos.) I was sad to hear when the original Heavy Noodling on Garvey ws closed, so [...]

Malan Noodles
Sunday, June 22, 2008 21:17 No CommentsOn our never-ending quest to try hand-made noodles, the BF and I drove to Hacienda Heights to try out Malan Noodles. When we walked in, the woman who worked there grabbed an order sheet, some water in styrofoam cups and pointed us to an empty table.
At the front of the restaurant is a refrigerated case [...]
Benser - tasty?
Sunday, May 25, 2008 13:49 4 CommentsI’m not really sure what the English name for this restaurant is, but it’s on the corner of Life Plaza. It initially was just a dessert place specializing in Chinese desserts like mango pudding and shaved ice, but now it’s on the hand-shaved (dao xiao) bandwagon.
The BF ordered the house special vegetarian noodle soup. [...]
